Top Web Site Blunders by Coaches, Consultants and Experts

By Marcia Yudkin Of all the web sites belonging to coaches, consultants and
experts that I have reviewed, more than three-quarters
shared a very serious marketing blunder: Their potential
clients wouldn't understand from their home page precisely
what they do. Jargon gets in the way. Many specialists believe that they need jargon to
communicate their expertise. Without it, they'd sound
incompetent, they think, and those in their target market
who are as specialized as they are wouldn't respect them.
My recommendation is not to eliminate jargon, but to
include it in the site, with your main emphasis on the
business benefits your company provides or the problems
your company solves. For instance, I've done an informal survey to see if
business owners understand the jargonistic tag line, "CRM
software for small business." Nope! Most aren't even sure
what "customer relationship management" really means. But
if you write, "Close sales faster and improve customer
loyalty through customer relationship management (CRM)
software for small business," you'll earn greater
comprehension, without alienating those who already know
the shorthand. Don't think this applies to you? Sorry, it does. Nearly
everyone in business overestimates - usually greatly
overestimates - the extent to which customers understand
their jargon. The other nearly epidemic blunder at sites belonging to
coaches, consultants and experts is not explaining clearly
and persuasively why someone should use you rather than the
competition. What's unique about you? How do you differ
from your colleagues? If everyone is qualified and
experienced, why should I choose you? With sufficient
thought and care, you can add text to your web site that
gets potential clients thinking, "This is exactly the
person who can help!" Related to this is the absence at many sites of two
powerful tools for credibly distinguishing yourself from
the competition: testimonials and expert articles.
Testimonials are quotes from clients you've helped, and
they should refer to results achieved with your help - not
just you being a competent, nice service provider - and be
signed with a complete name and business identifier or
geographical location. Expert articles engage visitors to
your site and show that you know your stuff. Finally, all coaches, consultants and experts need to have
a newsletter to capitalize properly on visits to their web
site. This is because people shopping for professional
services sometimes decide to buy that very day. More
often, they come to your site looking for information
rather than to hire someone. If they read a couple of your
articles, like them and sign up for your newsletter, you'll
have the chance to impress these potential clients
repeatedly. Down the line, they're likely to hire you,
sometimes without ever returning to your site. But your
site set that process in motion. Marcia Yudkin is the author of Web Site
Marketing Makeover and 10 other books. A four-time Webby
Awards judge and internationally famous marketing
consultant, she critiques web sites and performs web site
makeovers for clients. Learn more about her detailed

The Garden Gazebo

By Daniel Roshard The garden gazebo is a thing of beauty, it has been known that in the past kings and queens had enjoyed gazebos in their royal gardens, setting up a trend of garden gazebos for historys rich and famous. Using a garden gazebo to any property is a wise step, it seems that what was true many years ago is even more convincing today. Some people use a garden gazebo to increase the value of their property, gifted gardeners can use a garden gazebo to create a division between parts of a garden. In some cases, a big enough garden needs a garden gazebo to hold all the tools that are needed to manicure the flowers and mown. These days almost anyone can own a garden gazebo, and assemble a garden gazebo in the backyard, garden gazebo kits offer the beauty of a wooden gazebo, many gazebos are available in a huge variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from Victorian and Amish styles to small to party size in diameter. Garden owners can purchase a garden gazebo kit and build their own gazebo by themselves, the kits can range in price and in quality, but the concept of DIY and the average low price allows almost anyone to experiment and enjoy his own garden gazebo. Garden gazebo kits differ not only in price but also in the material of which the garden gazebo is made of. These kits range in price depending on type of wood, which is generally either pine or one of a variety of types of cedar, and size. Each wood has its own benefits for your garden gazebo and once you have finished constructing the gazebo, you can choose to paint it, stain it or let it sit out and absorb the elements, allowing it to change to its naturally weathered color which is usually a light shade of grey. After you have decided on which wood to use for construction of your garden gazebo, you should figure what you need in terms of size. Once you set your mind of actually getting a garden gazebo, you will need think about the material and the weather in your area, these will have a significant effect on your gazebo and what you can expect of it. Most garden gazebos are made of wood, pine or cedar or the most popular ones, but there are many different gazebo kits out there, and it is common to find metal gazebo kits made of vinyl or aluminum. The huge advantage wood garden gazebos have is that they fit into a garden naturally, adding natural wooden quality that accents and compliments any garden. If you plan on purchasing a wooden garden gazebo, you will probably have to decide between pine or cedar wood. While pine is more affordable, cedar is less prone to rot. Thanks to the modern design of gazebo kits, constructing your own fashionable backyard structure has never been easier. All you have to do is set out all of the parts the gazebo manufacturer sends to you and then assemble them according to the instructions. Once you have built each of the walls of your garden gazebo, you should bring over some friends to help you tilt up each wall and put on the roof. While it is not incredibly trying work, it will generally take a day or two to complete. There are many options to get a gazebo to your oun backyard or garden, learn about Home And Garden Gazebos and http://gazebo.zupatips.com/Garden_Gazebo.html. Ingredients of Small Business Marketing

By Natalie Aranda A business may be small, but the efforts of operating it is not. Small business owners often wear many hats - financing, product development, marketing, sales and customer support. While major corporations have sufficient resources to kick off a thoroughly planned marketing campaign, small business marketing is often on a budget. Marketing a small business should not be limited to a single channel because of the size of your business. Customers will always go through the three phases of a purchasing decision making: 1) aware of the products or services, 2) collecting enough information before the purchase, 3) and action of purchasing. The ingredients of effective small business marketing provides the information they need at each stage of a purchasing process. Reach the Customers Most small businesses target local market. Your business, of course, should be listed on local phone directories. Ads on local newspapers and flyers will bring you business from your local communities as well. Distributing business cards is always one of the most popular and inexpensive ways for small business owners to market or advertise their services and products. For instance, some landscaping companies distribute business cards door-to-door in newly constructed communities. If your services involves with artistic design (interior design, web design etc.), color business cards or custom business cards are more effective. They show the artistic tastes of the designers. Provide Information About Your Products and Services Awareness of a product or service is the start-point for customers to make a purchase. They will further research and compare similar services or products before they make contact for possible purchase. Now that you need a brochure or a website to present your business with product details, testimonials etc.. If business card design makes a good first impression, brochure design and brochure printing (or booklet printing if you prefer) are effective for converting leads into sales. Brochures that you send out will get more attention if you enclose a personal note with personal touch to introduce yourself and your company. A professional Web site serves as an online brochure to promote your products or service so that the prospects can get the information about your business 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. Affordable Web hosting costs as little as $25-$50 a year. Call for Action Once customers have made up of their mind to purchase your services or products. The brochure or the website should offer clear direction for further actions. The advantage of a website over brochure is that you are able to update as frequently as you want, offer discount or incentives for customers who make purchase in a certain timeframe. When theyre ready, a transaction is just a few clicks on a website powered with online shopping carts. Natalie Aranda writes on small business and marketing. Best Fly Fishing Locations in the World

By Noah Fleming There are thousands of great fly fishing spots world-wide. Deciding on the best places is really a matter of taste, but here is my wish-list. British Columbia Traditional fresh water fly fishing. It is also fly-in fishing because there is no road access to many of the best spots. Several species of salmon, trout, steelhead are available, as well as char and sturgeon. Kamchatka, Russia - Ever the traditionalist, Rainbow trout originated here before migrating to the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. The food rich waters of the Overlay River produce rainbows that average five pounds, and twenty-one inches in length.
Guatemala Fly Fishing for Pacific Sailfish in Central America. Huge Sailfish that like to fight. Not traditional, but exciting. France The Pyrenees Mountains. Wild brown trout are plentiful in higher elevations. There is no catch and release here if you stay away from the posted no kill areas The French believe in eating their catch, with some great wine. Much of the rest of the country has stocked fish. Southern England, Scotland, Wales Fishing along the coast for Sea Trout, Grayling, Salmon, and Brown Trout, depending on which species you choose fishing for Sea Trout and Salmon where fresh water runs into salt water, or Scotland where the Grayling fishing is considered the best in Europe. Marco Island, Florida The fly fishing here is for the larger saltwater variety. Barracuda, Black Grouper, Flounder, King Mackerel, Mutton Snapper, Permit, Redfish, Sharks, Snook, Tarpon, and Yellow Snapper are some of the varieties available to fly fishermen.
All of these areas are fantastic spots to fly fish, offering a wide range of fishing opportunities. All have professional outfitters, and guides, however prices are steep as one would expected for the best fishing on earth. Some Great Trout Fishing Tips

By Trevor Kugler As the weather begins to get warmer and we start thinking about things like fishing, many anglers pursue trout in the early spring. Although there are many ways to catch these fish I wanted to go over a few tips that may increase you catch rate. I personally find the spring to be a difficult time to catch trout, especially as the water begins to rise and rivers become high and muddy. If you can catch the rivers before the high water, you'll be okay; otherwise you may be reserved to lake fishing. Either way, here are some tips to help you catch more trout Use Gang Hooks - If you don't know what gang hooks are, they are simply two small hooks tied in tandem. This enables the angler to present a worm or minnow in an incredibly natural way. Gang hooks also enable the angler to present double the dough bait (such as Powerbait). Think about it, don't you think that having two balls of Powerbait floating off of the bottom would be better than just one? As The Current Increases, Increase The Length Of Your Rod - In the spring when the water is higher than normal I use my six foot ultra light rod, rather than my four footer. The extra length makes fishing in heavy current that much more effective. The heavier the flow of water, the longer fishing rod, that's a rule I live by. If A Bait Isn't Working, Change It - This is especially true for those of you fishing lakes with some sort of bait, including Powerbait. If you've been fishing maggots for an hour without a bite, change to worms or Powerbait. If blue Powerbait hasn't produced a bite in an hour, change to a different color. Making a small change can make all the difference. Have A Little Patience - I realize that having a little patience is no great realization in the sport of fishing, but it's still important. Fish can't be caught on every cast or even every time we go out fishing. Give a certain technique or lure a half hour or forty five minutes, and then switch to a different one. Dont be changing things up every five minutes. Give things a chance to work and then change. Clean You Hands Before Baiting Up - The human scent isn't appealing to fish at all. Fish have a tremendous sense of smell and if they smell something foreign on your bait or lure, they are much less apt to attempt to eat it. I like to grab a handful of grass and rub it in my hands. This covers the scent of my hands, and I believe, increases the amount of bites I get. Cleaning your hands is especially true if you are a smoker (as I used to be). Beginning to employ these tips will increase the amount of bites that you get while fishing, it's as simple as that. The tips will help with the bites, but the catching is up to you. You're the one that actually has to set the hook, and reel the fish in. The bottom line is that these tips will, at the very least, help you get more bites. Good luck and good fishing! Tips for Reducing Wedding Stress

By Jen Carter Its three days before your wedding, and you are almost pulling your hair out from wedding stress. While getting engaged and fulfilling marriage is an exciting event, the culmination of planning details and crescendo of stress associated with your wedding can cause a meltdown for many bride and groom. The planning stage of the wedding, whether the event is a small one involving close family and friends, or a gala affair of 400 people, is a tedious yet all important aspect of a successful wedding. Here are some tips and advice we have accumulated over the years that may help you reduce your wedding stress. Plan your Wedding Early: Almost without doubt, those who begin planning the wedding details earlier experience less stress later in the game. The more clear and concise the details are the better position the bride and groom are in during those critical days leading up to the event. Starting early can mean choosing a generalized wedding theme, and then brainstorming for the most important aspects associated with it the location for the ceremony, reception. Gathering resources help from friends and family, and possibly help from a wedding consultant and coordinator really help solidify the plan. Take Time for Yourselves: Dont ever forget the reasons why you and your spouse are doing this for love and for devotion and commitment. Many spouses lose focus of this as they follow through with their wedding planning details. Remember that no wedding is perfect. Keeping the love and excitement right through the wedding is also very important. Some things you can do to unwind during the planning stage may be: Talk with close friends a lot. Tell them your frustrations, your concerns, your expectations of how this wedding should flow. Talking your wedding through from beginning to end can really help reduce wedding stress. Spend romantic time with your spouse. Plan a surprise one-night date and promise yourselves to not talk about the wedding whatsoever during that time. Pretend almost as if you are back to the stage of dating and keep it fun, mysterious and romantic. Break your date up into two parts one where only body language is allowed, and one where talking and socializing about anything not about weddings is emphasized. Stay away from busy places. Hit the gym, go for long walks (preferably away from people beaches and hikes work very well) Many people can significantly reduce stress by staying active in sports if possible during the wedding planning stage. Take long, hot baths, and pamper yourself with anything and everything you can during your bath. Spas, saunas and anything of the sort are great at this time. Trust in your faith of your friends and family. They want your event to pull off with a bang as well. Stick with your wedding plan from the beginning, but always ebb and flow with last minute changes. The wedding plan, while a very important guideline to follow, it simply that a guideline. Always remember, the biggest part of reducing wedding stress is having fun! How Do I Catch Bass?

By Steve Dolan Bass Fishing If you've done any bass fishing, then you'll already know that it's not as simple as just putting a line in the water and waiting for them to bite. One of the best things about bass fishing is that it requires skill and patience to be successful. So it's important to put as many factors in your favor as possible, so that you have the best chance of catching a bass. Let's take a look at a few tips for successful bass fishing. As Conditions Change so Should Your Fishing Tactics The weather matters! In the cooler weather, such as early spring and fall, bass are much more responsive to top water lures. They're also more likely to be found in shallow water, such as along the shoreline where there are overhanging trees. When it gets hotter, though, bass retreat to deeper, cooler holes, and you need a change of strategy. Basically you need to dredge the bottom, and use something like a plastic worm to get the bass to respond. Time of day is also important, with dawn and dusk the best times to catch the biggest bass. Look for ambush spots where bass might be lurking in wait for baitfish. They like to pounce on their prey, and these bait fish are most active early morning or evening. This method works best when the water is warmer, above 50 degrees Fahrenheit, because a lot of baitfish aren't active in cooler temperatures. Water Quality Matters! The quality of the water you're fishing in makes a difference to your bass fishing tactics too. In muddy water, for example, bass use their sonar to locate food. So choose lures that vibrate well and perhaps make some noise. In clear water, though, bass are very cautious and wary of anything unusual. So you need light lines, and lures that closely resemble local food sources. Spinners can work, but you may find a black spinner blade will reduce the flash and be more successful. In normal water quality, with some algae and plankton to filter out sunlight, most types of lures can be used. It's often a good idea to set up three outfits, using a different lure for each one, to see which one is working the best. For example, you could use a deep diver on one, a surface lure on the next, and a plastic worm on the third. What's the Best Bait? A large survey of bass fishing enthusiasts found that the plastic worm was considered the most effective lure by a big margin, so when in doubt, try a plastic worm and see what happens. It's also good to talk to local fishermen if youre not familiar with the area, and ask them what they recommend. Most bass fishing enthusiasts are happy to find another enthusiast to swap stories with. Steve Dolan is an avid fisherman who loves to catch bass Click on Bass Fishing to find top tips and tricks. Zachary's Tale - A Journey Into Sensory Disfunction

By Jennifer Sprague The time on the clock says 9:30; I look down at my sleeping little boy, whom I have just quietly rocked to sleep. He is still latched on somewhat, comfort nursing. As we rock I stare down at him and wonder what his future might hold. Zachary is my 27- month old son, and has been diagnosed (I hate that word; to me it some how implies that there's something wrong that medicine could fix) with Sensory Integration Dysfunction and delayed speech, as well as having some feeding or eating issues. These diagnoses were made about 6 months ago with a team of qualified therapists and specialists. Life with and for Zachary is not at all like the life I had envisioned for him. Of course as a new mom, you have all the hopes, expectations and desires that every new mom has. Also, with having an older child, my work in a preschool and being a nanny; I had an idea of what was to come. I thought I knew to expect talking, walking, fine motor skills, eating on queue as well as other things. It all seemed so laid out in some sort of master plan, at least it did for all of the kids I had ever seen before. Around the time my son turned one I began to really take notice of little differences in him, differences that most first time moms might not have noticed until much later. One thing I noticed was his lack of wanting to eat baby foods (he was still nursing for most of his food, and even today nurses for a good portion of the food he takes in). His inability to fall asleep easily (it can take him between 30 minutes to 2 hours to fall asleep) and his lack of making little baby noises (Zachary was never a "babbler" and at 27 months has JUST started to babble) struck me. Even his ability to walk was off (he was always bumping into things). He was a SUPER active (almost over-active) little boy who craved motion, especially in climbing, still does. At this point, I decided to turn to several close trusted friends, whom all suggested the book, "The Out of Sync Child". While reading this book, on almost on every page, on almost every area I was shaking my head in agreement with just about everything that was being said! "YES" I thought, finally something that described "my child," something that could give me ideas that enabled me to help him, and where I could go to get help for him! I had finally found something that "made sense". Every aspect of Zachary's life seemed to some how make sense; even things I did not think were connected, I learned were! Every area touched on within the book seemed to directly (at least in some part) correlate with what Zachary was doing and/or seemed to be feeling. How he was acting or reacting to the world and life around him finally started to make sense to me! So, about half way though the book, I called my state program Early Intervention. We set up a meeting for 5 months later; it seems nothing in the "system" works fast. On the date of his evaluation, he was formally given the diagnoses of Sensory Integration Dysfunction, with a speech delay. For us Zachary's sensory and speech issues follow us all day long, every day. So could you walk a mile in his shoes? Maybe you could.. That is, if you ever got your socks on "just right." You may need to have them taken on and off five or six times to get the seams so they lay "just so" and the tightness around the leg to be "ok." Then you would need to scream though putting on a fleece or cotton union suit, because you can not communicate to anyone, what's wrong with this particular outfit. Then, while it's being put on; you pull, yank, cry and even scream (sometimes hitting, if it is extra painful) until the suit gets on perfectly so the seams are "ok" or the tags are not sticking you in the back. Maybe you could.. if your mommy would tell you three or four times before you change activities, making sure you heard and understood. Repeating herself over and over, because the lights are in your eyes, your sister is breathing and talking, or the fan is on; making it nearly impossible for you to concentrate on what she's saying. Maybe if you understood that the texture, smell and taste of most foods, would be too much for you. So much so that meal times will be nearly impossible for you to cope with. But knowing that you're one of the "lucky ones", your mom is still comfortable with nursing you, so you at least have a good form of nourishment. Since you would nurse anywhere from 4 to 10 times a day. Maybe if you heard EVERY little bump, burp, and voice no matter where they came from within the house. All those noises crowding into your mind would be making it nearly impossible for you to concentrate on the most simple of tasks, from playing to learning. Being unable to communicate to let anyone know that any of them is even bothering you. Maybe if you could crave putting everything into your mouth, because you need that form of stimulation. If you really had NO way of communicating except for grunting, or crying. You'd have no way to let the world around you know anything about what was going on in your head, your thoughts or feelings. No way to show that you're feeling totally lost. Maybe if you picked incessantly on yourself, your "boo-boos," and fingers until they bleed, without even feeling the pain of what you're doing. Or if strangers looked at you, rolling their eyes, or pointing there fingers at you, because you're grunting instead of talking or you're hitting yourself instead of playing. Maybe if you could not last at a single task longer than two or three minutes, all the while hating transitions and screaming, crying and throwing a fit at every change that had to be made, no matter how small. If you got sick every time you got into the car because of the lack of control. If you could climb to very high places and just jump off, without the fear of being hurt. If going into a crowed place literally freaked you out, for no other reason other than all the people. If the idea of pouring water, or anything onto your head or into your face sent you spiraling into a tailspin of screaming and clawing for a breath, because you believed that you were being suffocated. Maybe, if you could live every day, feeling, just like this, you could. But I don't, for one second, think so. To look at Zachary, you would think "no problem" he's a normal little boy. However, that's not the case, what I've described is just a small piece of what my little boy goes though EVERY minute of EVERY day. I don't think you could do it, nor do I think you would want to. The therapists he works with now are helping a HUGE amount. Zachary is now using some sign language to talk to us, is babbling, and is much more willing to try foods and other things that make him "ick-a-fied". It is, however, a very good thing that I got him into the program at his young age. Research shows that working with a young mind is much easier than working with an older one. Young children are felt to have a "plastic" brain, meaning that it can still be rebuilt or changed. The older a child gets the harder it is to change the behaviors and structure. One of the huge battles kids like Zachary face is that they appear so "normal", there are no "tell tail signs" that there is something "amiss" deep within their little brains. So people look at them and think, "normal, no issues" then start to think there's something emotionally wrong with them. In general terms, Sensory Integration Dysfunction is basically the inability for the brain to process the information that is brought in though your senses (whether those senses are internal or external). The dysfunction happens in the central nervous system deep within the brain. So basically it's when a "glitch" occurs, and the brain can not analyze, organize, connect or integrate the sensory messages it is being sent. Internal or near senses would be; vesicular sense (the inner ear) which processes information on movement, gravity and balance, the tactile sense (skin) which processes touch, as well as the proprioceptive sense (muscles and joints) which process information about the body positions and body parts. The external or far senses would be smell, touch, sight and sound. The end result being that the child (or adult) suffering from Sensory Dysfunction can not correctly respond to sensory information, in turn making meaningful consistent behavior nearly impossible for them. Where a "normal" child just has it, the child with a sensory dysfunction has to work, and work HARD at achieving it. The child can have an over sensitivity, under sensitivity or both (which is most often the case.) Children like my son, who have sensory problems, are literally fighting an internal fight with themselves every day, only processing half of what the world around them has to offer. Maybe, you think you have the abilities to walk around in my son's shoes.. However, I don't think you could walk in those shoes.. Not because the shoes are too small but because.. What Every Woman Should Know About Men and Why Some Men Are Interesting - Part 2

By Ed Bagley (Editor's Note: Part 1 dealt with A Man's Five Basic Jobs: 1) Defend his loved ones. 2) Protect his loved ones. 3) Provide for his loved ones. 4) Encourage his loved ones. 5) Lead his loved ones.) A Man's Five Basic Tendencies But, alas, women it is not to be. Here is where your dream world begins to fall apart. Just as a man has five fingers on his right hand there are five creative tendencies a man must overcome to live out his life. 1) He believes he is indestructible. I know this is not rational, is silly and difficult to believe, however, it is tied to his ego and allows him to also do the five jobs his analytical mind tells him he must do. It is because a man can be an extremely competitive creature that he can put his life on the line for his family when defending them and protecting them. A man, especially when he is younger, can be exciting, dangerous and foolish. He will buy his dream sports car and drive it down the freeway as fast as he can to see how fast he can go, and sometimes with his loved ones in the car. He will dive off of a 50-foot cliff to see if he can meet the water in the 10-foot space between the rocks below. Sometimes he will accomplish that feat, sometimes he will become paralyzed and sometimes he will kill himself in a fit of bravado. Generally, somewhere around age 40 or 50 he will work in the yard all day Saturday and be totally stunned when he cannot get out of bed Sunday morning. This is the point in his life when he realizes he is not the man he used to be. If he uses the brains God gave him he will not continue take risky chances. If he has learned anything from the experience, he will begin to live a more sane life. 2) He believes his reach should exceed his grasp. A man will try to do more than he is physically, mentally and emotionally capable of doing. He will set impossible goals and then prove he cannot achieve them. He will set no limits on himself. He has an ego. He will work himself to death while ignoring his marriage, his children and the needs of his family, and he will justify this behavior because he can barely get past his third job: provide for his family. He will justify his behavior in his mind because sometimes he is really escaping a situation at home that he does not want to face. Rather than face the music he is willing to play the music alone and suffer the consequences, generally divorce. Couples can fight about money and how to raise their children, but when they end up in divorce court it is usually because of a lack of communication. How many times have you heard a woman say he just won't talk to me? When your man is not talking to you ladies, that is the first sign that your marriage is in trouble. 3) He believes he will live forever. No kidding. He actually believes he will live forever. It never really occurs to him that he will die someday. He has been told this more than once; he comprehends what is being said, but he really does not believe it. Women do not share this problem. I expect because they become very aware of just how fragile life is when birthing a newborn. It generally does not even occur to a man that he will die until he is well past 50. When this realization strikes him, it is like a bolt of lighting. Sometimes it occurs when his father dies, and then he realizes that he is next. There are things that you will notice when his belief in this matter changes. He will not leave home when the guys come by to go drinking and watch the game. He will become more aware about who he is with, where he is at and what he is doing. He now realizes that the meter on the taxi is running. He now understands that the alarm has been set on his clock, and it is ticking down. 4) Someone once said that every man needs someplace to go, something to do and someone to love. I believe that they are correct. Think about it. A man needs someplace to go, this is the explorer in him. A man needs something to do, this is the automatic work ethic in him. He must be at work, or he could be a nuisance at home. A man needs someone to love because he needs acceptance. You will notice that a woman who loses her husband at age 50 because he has worked himself to death can live another 30 years without a man in her life and be quite content. A man who loses his wife at age 50 will find another woman very soon or he will die, literally. When a man loses his partner, he will make it his business to find another, and he will not make a career out of it because he already has a career. A man loses his woman and six months or a year later he marries again, usually to someone younger. Many men do not wait to lose their wife. When they perceive they have lost something in a relationship, they simply dump their wife and find a younger model. I do not have to give women names; they can name on cue the men who have done so, both the famous and the infamous. 5) This is the most salient advice that I can give a woman about men: Listen carefully to what a man says but watch what he does, what he does is who he is. A man will always whisper sweet nothings in a woman's ear but once he is out of bed he barely notices his conquest. In today's world young girls and young women have bought into the media hype that they need to walk around half naked and sleep with any guy if they want to date or have any shot at a relationship. They are being hoodwinked. Our culture and society has become so liberal, so permissive, so pleasure seeking and so self-centered and self-absorbed that the mantra is all about me. Young girls have Paris Hilton, Britany Spears and Lindsay Lohan as role models. What young girls and young women need to know is that after young boys and young men have had their way with them they will discard them like they would a hot dog wrapper at a baseball game. When these same young boys become young men and think about marriage they will not be interested in used goods. Any girl or young woman who has been passed around and has slept with multiple partners will get less attention. A man who is worth marrying and having children with has learned impulse control and has the ability to feel an urge and delay acting on it. A man who cannot or will not control himself is no better than the girls and young women he is indiscriminately sleeping with. Someone arbitrarily decided that casual sex does no damage whatsoever to one's psyche or emotional well being. They are, of course, dead wrong but too immature to realize it and calculate the damage. Oftentimes when they grow up they are unable to have a lasting relationship and they wonder why. This is true for both men and women. I do not have to postulate about this, the divorce rate, heartache and failed relationships prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt. If the fundamental basis of a marriage is great sex, you have a serious problem that is not going to go away. Marriage should be for a long time and great sex at some point may not survive the duties and responsibilities of living. Simple Strategies for Losing Weight

By Bill Schuchman To effectively lose weight you must change your life style. You body is in the shape it's in because of choices you have made, thoughts you have thought and beliefs you have accepted. These must change if you want to permanently lose weigh. I'm not talking about drastic or painful changes. Often you only need to make small changes to have a dramatic impact on your weight. Review the following practical strategies and make them a part of your daily life. If you do this for 1 month you will see and feel your body begin to change. -Move your body throughout the day by becoming more physical in your daily activities. This might include walking instead of taking the car. Maybe it's time to give your house a good cleaning or painting. When driving to a store park further from the store so you have to walk more. Get down on the floor and play with your pet or go outside and play with your kids. Just look for more opportunities to move. Movement is life. -Increase your oxygen intake by doing deep breathing exercises a couple of times a day. Just sit comfortably, close your eyes and take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. As you do this, allow all the muscles in your body to relax and allow your thoughts to relax. Focus your thoughts on the body you wish to create. By doing this exercise for about 5 minutes 2 to 3 times a day you will become more relaxed and at the same time increase your metabolism. -Eat more fruits and vegetables. Your body was designed to efficiently process fresh fruits and vegetables; it was not designed to ingest processed foods and high levels of carbohydrates. So when you are craving a sweet snack reach for some grapes or an apple and stay away from those Twinkies. -Drink more water. Water helps to flush the toxins out from our body while drinking soda or coffee just add to the toxins that build up in our body. Nothing is as refreshing as a cold drink of water. For the next 3 days just drink water whenever you are thirsty and after 3 days notice how different you feel. If you're like most people you will notice that you eat smaller meals, and that you will feel less fatigued. -Get enough sleep. Studies have shown that when we fail to get enough sleep our bodies begin to crave sugary foods and larger amounts of food. By giving into these cravings we get on the hypoglycemic rollercoaster that will have detrimental effects to our bodies. When we're exhausted we often turn to caffeine to give our bodies a boost which only adds to the imbalances of our bodies. -Eat only when you are hunger. We have programmed ourselves when and what to eat. Often we eat unconsciously. When 12 o'clock comes we eat a meal just because its time to eat not because we are hungry. The next time it time to eat ask yourself am I hungry? And if you are hungry decide if eating a banana or a light salad will satisfy your hunger. -The same goes for snacking, people snack because they have programmed themselves to snack at given times during the day. Before you snack ask yourself if you are hungry and if you truly want a snack the reach for an apple. -Don't diet or starve yourself. Your body is perfectly designed to regulate itself and maintain good health providing you give it balanced nutrition, exercise and emotional balance. By starving yourself or going on some crazy diet you push your metabolism into disarray. Your metabolism slows down, your cravings increase, you have to struggle more and more each day to maintain your craze diet until at some point you crash and begin eating everything in sight. In most cases you wind up weighting more then when you started. You goal should be to get your body into balance. This can best be done by eating a little less and choosing more natural healthy foods. -It no secret that your body is the way it is because of your internal programming. You focus on food, what your next meal will be, how fat you look, what you don't like about your body. You need to change your focus and you'll change your internal programming. Focus on what you like about your body, look in the mirror and say to yourself, I love you and you're beautiful. Look for reasons to love yourself and your body. Do this for 1 month and notice the difference. -Another reprogramming secret is to quietly repeat to yourself the following affirmation as you drift off to sleep each night. Each day I am doing things to lose weight and create a healthy strong body. Repeat this to yourself each night and it alter your subconscious so that you will automatically choose a healthier lifestyle. -Be confident and know that you can lose those extra pounds. Believe in yourself and your abilities. You have been successful in many areas of your life, you will be successful in losing weight. Joint Bank Accounts And The Problem Of Divorce

By Peter Kenny If you are in the unfortunate situation of getting divorced, then you may be wondering how to sort out your joint bank accounts. Whether the divorce is amicable or not, it is important that you both agree on how to split the monetary funds in your joint accounts so that you both get a fair deal. Here is some advice on how to handle joint bank accounts and the problem of divorce. Freezing accounts If you ware worried about funds in the account being removed, then you can get a freeze placed on the account which requires both parties to give permission before any money is removed. Although this may be a good temporary solution to avoid money being removed, it will obviously harm both of you if no money can be released. However, it is a good point to start from and ensures that the account remains untouched and there is motivation on both sides to solve the situation. 50/50 split If the divorce is amicable and you feel that you are both of an equal financial standing, then the easiest way to sort out the problem of joint accounts is for one person to open a new account and deposit half of the money into that account. The other partner can then change the joint account to a single account, thus leaving each of you with half the money in the account. This is the quickest and easiest way to sort out any problems, but is not always possible if you are of different financial standings and an agreement cannot be reached. Dont leave the situation Although you might think the situation will sort itself out, if your ex partner removes all of the money from the account and liquidates it without your knowledge, you could be left in serious financial trouble. Although you should be able to get the money back through the divorce settlement process, this could take months and leave you short of funds in the meantime. Whatever you do, make sure that you dont just leave the situation to sort itself out. Credit cards If you hold joint credit cards, then it is important that you cancel your card and inform the bank in writing that you want to be removed from the credit card account due to impending divorce and that you will not be held responsible for any extra debts that are accumulated. Obviously, you will both still be responsible for any current debts, but make sure that anything your ex partner spends is not your concern. This applies to other bills such as phone bills etc. Safety deposit boxes Perhaps the hardest type of joint monetary asset to control is a safe deposit box. If one or both of you is self-employed then you might keep money in a safety deposit box. If you get divorced then there is no stopping one of you from emptying the box and leaving the other person with nothing. As soon as divorce is a possibility you should try and get the box frozen so that neither you nor your partner can access it on their own. If your bank wont comply then take photos of the contents and get someone to sign it to confirm the contents in case they are removed. If you can remain civil with each other and take the necessary precautions, then you can both end up with the right amount of money from your joint accounts should divorce occur.
